Mac computer fan making noise
Is there software to fix this or is this a hardware issue? I had this problem and just fixed it -- Give a soft knock on the underside of your laptop, under where the clicking is. Just a good rap with your knuckles. When I did this, the fan immediately kicked in and engaged, and the clicking stopped.

I also had this problem. When I knocked the underside of the macbook with my knuckles, underneath the escape key, the fan engaged and the rattling stopped. Perhaps the moving had something to do with it although I'm sure there was nothing rough about the handling as we took it in the car. Most older Mac notebooks have removable batteries. By ; Matt Elliott. I was under the impression that the MacBook Pro was generally pretty quiet in operation. My MacBook Pro is making a strange, birdlike chirping sound — is this a virus? I got a Surface I'd expect it when I'm working it but even just browsing the web, to just having it sit idle - it literally runs no stop.
But the one thing that's bothering me is the loud fan noise that kicks in when the cpu temp goes over I have a Macbook Pro Retina 15inch and when playing the sims 4 the fan instantly cuts on and sound gets loud.
